Linseed oil on fabricated steel fence. I work in the maintenance department. The owners were told that before the property was completed last year in May. That the fence had been wiped with the linseed oil. As months passed the fence started to turn a rust color. Last year the weather was around the mid 90degrees. So I assume that the oil had dried rapidly. Well I do not know much about linseed oil to apply on fabricated steel. Any info would help. The designer that requested this done said this needed to be done aleast twice a year. And that the steel would either turn a natural color mid black.??? The property is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
