SURFACE TO BE TILED PREPARATION ADHESIVE
Concrete Internal and External

New concrete should be left with a wood float finish and allowed to cure for at least 28 days. Smooth finish concrete should be mechanically ground or scabbled. Old concrete shold be clean, dry, free

from all contaminations.

Internal

Untreated floor should be primed with ABA primer. Apply ABA Ceramic Tile Underlay at 6 mm minimum thickness. Allow to dry prior to

tiling, or use the Isoflex system.

Untreated floor should be treated with ABA primer. Joints in sheets must be taped with masking tape or PVA tape. Then use Barrierflex using

Isoflex Trowel.

Compressed Fibre Cement Sheets

Internal and External

Fix sheets according to the manufacturer's instructions. The sheets should be dry, clean, free from dust, grease, oil etc. Apply Barrierflex with strand mat over the joints between the sheets. Prime the sheets with ABA primer prior to

tiling.

cure for 14 days.

Thick Bed Application

For those occasions where a thick bed adhesive is required (for example the fixing of ribbed back quarry tiles, or over uneven surfaces), ensure that the adhesive used is suitable for thick bed

application.
