Description: Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees and is used to make floor and furniture polishes, candles or to give an anti-slip coating to surfboards. Directions for use: To make polish for timber floorboards or furniture: 1.Melt 250 grams of Beeswax in a pot or pan sitting in boiling water. 2.Remove from heat source and add 200ml of Diggers Pure Gum Turpentine, when mixed, take out a few drops and let cool down. 3.If the polish is to hard, add more Diggers Pure Gum Turpentine**. 4.If too soft add more Beeswax to the mix. 5.When the required consistancy is achieved, pour the mixture into a suitable container and allow to cool. 6.The polish will thicken, during the cooling period, to a creamy consistency. 7.Always shake the container before using. To make candles: 1.Select an appropriate mould and a soft white string for a wick. 2.Soak the string for 2 hours in a cup of water containing 1 tablespoon each of borax and household soap. 3.Allow to dry. 4.Melt the beeswax as described above. 5.Dip the string in the molten wax hang up to dry. 6.The molten wax can now be coloured with artistic oil paints or scented with fragrant oil for a nice smell. 7.Grease the mould with Diggers Mould Release Agent or Paraffin oil to act as a releasing agent. 8.Suspend the wick in the mould and pour in the molten wax. 9.When the wax has cooled, remove the mould and cure the candle for 4 - 5 days in the refrigerator. Surfboard anti-slip: Beeswax can be rubbed directly on to your surfboard to give it an anti-slip surface. Notes: Store in a cool and dry place.
