[edit] Coaster Set with Holder, Inlaid
Here's a really easy project you can make quickly and which will get a lot of use immediately when entertaining. With some 3/8" oak and some 1/2" dowel, a nice set of coasters can be fashioned. I inlaid some 1/4" purple heart strips into the coasters, but that is not necessary to make an attractive set for yourself. This would be an attractive set with or without the inlay.
